I was thinking, it might be cool to add a "vintage" (or whatever you want to call it) channel to videosift for videos that were made way back when. There are quite a few videos from the 50's and 60's, such as propaganda films and old comercials. I really like watching the old content on this site. Of course, to make this channel you'd have to figure out what counts as old
Before the invention of the internet?
70's and older?
I'm not sure where the line would be drawn.

I'd like to get some feedback on how people are using the channels. I have to admit that I'm only an occasional channel visitor.
Is there anyone who spends a lot of time viewing channels?
Science channel. I want a science channel.
I agree with Farhads opening statement: I use it much more for seeing what a vids like/labelling my own, than actually looking through the channels (although I do occassionally).
Can we have a button that hides all the videos the user voted for in the queue already?
I just notice I miss so many good sifts because I can't be bothered to scroll all 18 pages to find something cool I might have missed as the sift keeps getting filled.
I agree with fahrad's suggestion. Also another idea which has come up in another content, is the idea of a "no vote". NoVote registers "yup, I've seen this, I have no opinion and don't want to see it again". You don't always come away from viewing a vid with an up/down vote- except maybe for ant
i would also add a channel "commercial"
