New Queue Rules
As an outcome of this lively earlier thread, "What to Do About the Queue" which was chock full of good ideas - we've made a couple of changes.
Posts that have less than 2 votes after 24 hours will be discarded.
- Posts that have less than 3 votes after 48 hours will be discarded.
- This will happen once a day at the same time we do our usual daily queue discard.
We've also raised the queue escape level again, as the front page is still going through a complete refresh every few hours it seems. The new peak-time escape level is 9 off-peak is 8.

Also, the status-quo continues - anything over 4 days old, gets discarded as well.

Hey, I know this is counter to the ultimate goal of reducing promotion time, but would it not be fair/kind to give an extra day for vids up to 7 or 8 votes, now that the queue escape tiem has been severely truncated?
Or at least keep that idea in mind should the queue be truncated any further...
