MySpace videos won't embed for members below gold-star level

Member srd brought this problem to light a few weeks ago, and nibiyabi also reported the same problem in that post. Now guessandcheck tells me that he is also unable to embed from MySpace. Houston, we have a problem.

I believe the problem is similar to the one we had a couple of months ago when LiveLeak videos wouldn't embed for sub-gold members, i.e., MySpace also changed the appearance of its video player recently. Ol' Siftbot simply doesn't recognize the new player code for MySpace, just like it didn't recognize the new player code for LiveLeak.

And though no one has reported a problem yet, I'm also willing to bet that iFilm/Spike has the same problem. My only video from iFilm/Spike has the Sift thumbnail, which usually appears only when the video is not from one of the preferred video hosts. iFilm/Spike also changed their player recently, so I believe sub-gold members will also be unable to embed from them if they tried. I'm willing to bet a whole nickle on it, in fact.

So could the code ninjas fix this problem for all of our sub-gold members? Thanks in advance.

PS:

Will we be adding any new video hosts soon? I think it would be cool if sub-golds could also embed from sites like Funny or Die, GameTrailers, SuperDeluxe, and Veoh. Any progress in that area?
