Is it possible that you are missing the final submit page (It's like one extra step?) It looks submitted, but isn't yet. Look, you can click on your profile and click on Discarded to see all your videos (even discarded ones). If they aren't in there, then they never made it to the queue.

I would save this if I had any. It's pretty interesting pseudo-documentary on AIDS research from
the 80s (early 90s?)... Reminds me of modern Global Warming discussions.

And if you have the slightest feeling that the video is right you honestly need to reexamine your medical knowledge as HIV is a retrovirus that causes AIDS just like HTLV is a retrovirus that causes T-cell leukemia and T-cell lymphoma
As for the video as a whole it's someone's paranoid ideas when the scientific debate on HIV was still taking place, look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Gallo#Retrovirus_work. It's not because his work was wrong or anything but the result of a lab contamination.
That kind of information is WRONG and DANGEROUS. So yeah am gonna downvote it.

you're right that HIV does not equal AIDS ... but don't muddy the waters with an ad hominem ...
If that's true, then that person is attempting to hide the truth from people. HIV isn't AIDS --hell, I knew that when I was a kid. It's always been described as 'the virus that causes AIDS', not 'is AIDS'.
Above I clearly say "in South Africa for several years the goverment has been trying to say that HIV doesn't cause AIDS.", you know why I say South Africa? Because that's the only place left in the world where the governmental officials keep claiming that HIV doesn't cause AIDS. Much like you do.
Farhad, consensus doesn't prove, nor does cause and effect. An assumption --even one with evidence-- produced through the observation of cause and effect can still be erroneous, but doubt is what's necessary to ensure the regulation of an assumption. Voting something out of view, as in this case for the second time, isn't an effective way of testing an assumption; rather, it only attempts to hide what bothers you from view. It's like burning books you don't like. It doesn't lead to better understanding, but removes the opportunity for the same.
And now... Ubuntu is calling, my archives have been updated, so it's time to install that bad boy and make it rock.
I think it is very educational. Obviously, I don't think anyone is trying to debate to cause of AIDS. It's amazing to look back and realize how little the media actually knows.
This is no different than those duck and cover gov't films.
(I do question some of old_spiders comments here.. and maybe he is trying to stir debate..)
But, jebus. Let the video sit in the queue MORE than 8 mins. You can downvote after a few days or after it has like 4 votes. That's my policy and it doesn't hurt anyone, incovienece you, or make enemies.
