I've noticed ever since Chartbeat's been in use that page loading is slower. And no, it's not my internet connection or my browser, because pages from other web sites load a lot faster for me. When a page is loading here I often see "Transferring data...ping.chartbeat.net" or something like that at the bottom of my browser while the page is being loaded.

Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, can something be done to improve performance (without removing Chartbeat, that is)?
