Amazing High Def video of kayakers "playboating" on the large standing wave on the Skookumchuck. A Standing Wave is a common river feature where the wave remains stationary (relative to the shore) and the water moves - this is the opposite of the waves we see at the ocean, where the water is basically stationary while the wave moves. This phenomenon allows kayakers to "surf" a wave exactly as one would in the ocean, with the added benefit of, well... it never ends. :)
