Wouldn't the zombies not be showing up since they shouldn't be giving off any heat? Shouldn't they just show up like the vegetation?

I call fake on this...those weren't real zombies.

But zombies still metabolize, just without the use of oxygen and the other substances live humans normally use. They'd appear, especially if they'd feasted recently.
