That thing on Dave's head isn't going to fool anyone. Jeff is the uber-creep there but you begin to wonder how real this is. He almost looks like the work of a good character actor.

I'm a movie producer/former studio exec who has produced or overseen the production of 15 major films. I have made a number of pointless TV pilots. I have auditioned thousands of actors.

These guys are not actors.

God, I wish they were.

If I had seen just one of these guy's tapes I might say that he was reading lines, but to find such a collection of amazing character actors who were all unknowns, including a number of older actors? I friggin' wish!

oh please, not even the creepiest weirdo is going to admit to wanting "to stay up late just to watch you while you sleep" in a dating video. the answers are vastly to pat and jokey and the whole thing is far too slickly edited. and "melvin"? please. its quite obviously made as a joke, maybe in the 80's, probably for some lame office party at a dating agency. indeed they're NOT actors, that's why its so plain to see that its a simple ruse.

One thing to consider is that the Youtube submitter says he edited this together from a bunch of tapes over a period of time in the 80s. I think it's entirely possible that this is real and culled from hundreds of real recordings.
