He's also a theocratic dictator, whose goal is to return to power over what we in the west would call "multitudes of uneducated slaves."

What do you really know about the Dalai Lama, other than the fact that he's a religious leader who wants control of his country? (He also doesn't believe in killing, I'll give you that.)

A similar situation occurred in Iran, also during the 19th century. The difference was, the religious leader didn't appeal as much to Americans for support, and instead of holding the titles "Dalai Lama," he's known as the "Ayatollah," effectively equivalent positions.

statueofmike it isnt correct what you say about a 'theocratic dictator', he tells it straight in this very video that he doesnt believe he's anything more than a normal person. buddhists dont even believe in a god do they? or it's irrelevant to their philosopies...
