Yup... Per capita, Alaska has the very worst rape statistics in the country. 1 in 6 is obscenely high.

But I'll be the first to admit that its not Palin's fault. She hasn't even been governor for 2 years, and addressing that kind of issue would take a lot of time, money, and law enforcement energy. Alaska's had those problems long before she was sworn in. You'd think that kind of thing would be a top priority for any governor, though...
