Karaidl, just as a tip, a sift like this one if the title were more specific, like "STOP IT - Funny MadTV sketch on Psychology" or something of the sort. I know I tend to look over general titles.

Ant, I don't think this is psychiatry, I see that more as treatment for diagnosed illnesses, although I may be mistaken.

You may be right that it's not psychology...perhaps psychotherapy might be more in order?

pretty much all the worlds problems can be solved by following the simple advice - stop it!

hm, come to think of it, isn't that what the world has done since the beginning - someone saying Stop It, OR ELSE! and then occasionally following thru on the Or Else part.

this isn't that funny. it reminds me of the "sit down and shut up" treatment for adhd on south park that was sifted some months ago. As somebody who was for years given the "stop it" and "sit down and stfu" treatment, i find it annoying that the pain that I went through is so hilarious to people.

I think the joke here is that no reasonable person would expect a phobic to be able to just "stop it" but i guess I'm just sensitive because many people DO believe that is the appropriate treatment for ADHD.

meh, no downvote because i don't want to be some kind of princess or whatever. but yeah, i don't think it's that funny.

Indulge and celebrate this wonderful neurological condition. And mothers with kids that have it??? Reduce or eliminate two things from yer little ping-pong balls life, and help keep it in check. Refined sugars and television. I have traced the etiology of my own, back as far as I have been caled on being unique, and full of energy, passion, and the ability to micro-focus, and found that the worst part of ADHD, is that the others in the world, less fortunate than myself, are simply unable to keep up with the brilliance, and spectacle, and assume that there must be something causing that , which is BAD, DYSFUNCTIONAL, or whatever other labels they use to separate, control, and stupefy the masses.

Indulge and develop your own checks and balances, and leave the drugs to addictive personalities and pharmacies....
