"Zwo" is not only 'more commonly used in the military', it is the only thing they use for "two". You are not allowed to use "Zwei" in the military to avoid misinterpreations.

I had a hard time getting used to "Zwei" again after my time in the military. Some old folks still stick to "zwo" because it was very common at the time of the Third Reich.

I dunno, I like Rammstein, but this song just sounds like reprocessed Ministry.
