That woman should take the stick out of her ass. He was only relating a joke - if she was insulted by that then it would probably be good for her if she cut off all contact with humanity so she doesn't have her precious feelings hurt again.

Penn Jillette is spot on. Call it crude, but if people cheered for that joke, it's a sign of what kind of regard people have for her.

Brilliant analysis, and spot on.

It comes down to the whole 'We better bloody distance ourselves from ANYTHING that could POSSIBLY loose us our core viewers (white, middle class, politically correct up the arse)... or, maybe more to the point, won't cause the ire of the VOCAL MINORITY... they don't like getting people complaining, and the sort of people who actually ring in and complain to shows are the sort who sit alone griping about the world and anything said ill of anyone else.

That mock outrage really, really grates, I hope they got complaints for the mock outrage, they deserved to.

What caught my attention was the "he's funny on the internet" and "people on the internet may find that sort of thing funny" (+2:05-2:12)

WTF? Penn's main venue is Vegas. The story he describes was done in front of a live audience. Further, "people on the internet" are who exactly? I mean, besides everybody under the age of 45?

penn jillette is better at exposing bullshit, because he does a better job
of not using more bullshit in his opinions & counter-arguments.

yes, there's a common perception of hillary as an 'ice queen' or 'bitch'.
but it's not necessarily because she's assertive, or confident, or aggressive.
or *insert traditionally-more-masculine adjective here>.

it's because she seems to think the best way of beating "the republican smear machine",
is to create a better one for democrats.

we've seen her take one cheap shot after another, for months now.
playing off the animosity of the last 8 years. instead of mending it.

does anyone else here remember the shot she took at obama, very early in the debates, when he spoke of how he might respond to iranian aggression?
i sure do, because it's the first thing i thought of, while she spoke of her own iranian scenario. when i was recently translating choggish...

yeah, i think mika's being duplicitous, or at the very least she's just playing devil's advocate. either to fend off angry letters defending hillary, or to drum up some drama. not the first time i've seen her play it up a little.
but i still think joe's got one of the better political shows. at least they actually have penn on, and give him ample opportunity to explain his point of view.
