I think with something as subjective as a short riff its popularty may lie outside of the song. aditoinaly maby on reflectoin dose the riff sound good. i cnt ratoinalize why a certain cluster of sounds would be so sugnificant on there own. especaily if you wer to just analize it on its own by removing it from the context of a song
