This is the kind of racing I'd actually watch.

It seems to be at lower speed as well (and the taps are more controlled/planned) so the wrecks aren't nearly as deadly I would guess.

Agreed!

NASCAR works because every spectator can see the entire track. But why couldn't you have a slower, curvy track within that same space, somewhat smaller cars, and let them rub the hell out of each other like this?

i've only seen touring cars at brands hatch, there's plenty of places to stand where u can see almost two thirds of the track, and yes it's safer with all those sand traps and padding i guess.
