As much as I agree with Maher on so many topics, he really was off about the cheerleader beating. The only reason we're lax on children fighting is because it's so tough to prove what really happened. In this case there's irrefutable evidence that she was trapped and didn't even punch back. I don't care what she said on MySpace, taking an argument from words to physical violence is unacceptable, and it is ten times worse when it is a group against one person. They need severe punishment, even if only to serve as example to others.
