love bf2... I would have rather had another WW2 era BF2 with updated graphics... a SLOW plane to fly would be heaven

Honestly I think BF2142 is a pointless game to fall for. It looks exactly like BF2 MOD, instead of a new game. It's basically Battlefield Vietnam. I'll wait for the next-gen BF experience thats coming out.

I'm a public beta tester of BF2142 - along with a few thousand other random Battlefield players / Gamespy subscribers.

Its a good looking, fun game that adds alot of new toys to the BF universe (not that advanced tech for the year 2142, closer to 40 years ahead in my opinion). They've taken a more BF1942 approach, with slow aircraft but fast gameplay (helped by the ejection pods from certain vehicles). The gameplay has been improved with tweaking classes & rank upgrades; but really its just more of the same (as in brimming full of bugs, but with more FX).

I don't like this EA PR guy (forgot his name): was featured in-game adverts for BF2 & did an awful preview presentation in Germany before its release. Like the line "The Europeans are forming a coalition called: The European Union" - I believe that was in 1972?!

Benjee do you play BF2? I mean it took 3 months for Dice/EA to fix the crippling CTD introduced in BF2 1.3

I can see the game coming out, a few crippling patches... and BF 3000 being announced.

they have improved the graphics by alot farhad2000, i got in on the puplic beta as well. it makes BF2 look like bf 1942 that is if you have the computer for it. luckly i do right now and it looks amazing.

I also played the beta too. I was NOT impressed. I will stick with BF2 and their mods (e.g., Forgotten Hope 2, Point of Existence, etc.).

PoE is a far better game than 2142 will ever be. ffs it runs on the same engine as bf2, which means more red/blue bugs, more CTD issues, and incredible resource hogging. joy. i'd rather play ETQW when it comes out.
