Yick. Overdone sexuality and oh those godawful faces she kept doing. A great idea for a piece, but poorly conceived. If she had underplayed the sexuality (and everhting else) and learned to dance, that would have been an engaging show.

Could you imagine this done with a light silk costume instead of the power suit, gentle swaying motions instead of stomping up and down the stage, and pelvic thrusts, and Dusty Springfield instead of the trumpet? Wow.

I am about to spoil the magic trick for you so if you dont want to know, don't read below this.

Basically she is stuffing the cloth into a skin colored latex finger. As you see she initially stuffs this into her fist, she then puts her finger inside the latex finger, notice how when she does the reveal she waves her hands around? Thats so you can't get a good look at her hands. Then when she does her reveal, you'll notice she pulls the cloth out of her hand, not her clothes... or... beef curtains. She then repeats.

I would say its sexy, but she is has an odd rhythm that makes her appear to be more Thanagarian slug beast than human female.

Her stance is very aggressive, so not really meant to titilate the male viewer. From a woman's view, she's gutsy, so that's why I upvoted and left it in the channel. If she was floating around with a come-hither look, it would have been an entirely different act altogether and she would not have been able to pull it off in front of a mainstream audience. It wouldn't have lasted this long here, either.

Now damnit, why can't we get more quality shows like that? That's possibly the best performance in the entire history of the world.

I love how she throws the audience with this. At first the possibility doesn't even enter the mind; why should it? Then there's a passing hint of thought, and you start thinking, well, surely it'll only go so far. Then you're gripped with, wait a second, just how far is this going? And then you find out!

I have my guess (with possible evidence) as to how it's done (quite simple really) but out of respect for the performer, I'll remain, shall we say, tight-lipped.

Bravo, very entertaining, I salute her courage and spirit.

Marshall McLuhan would be proud - the Medium is Indeed the Message - in this case, the message is less "OOOH, TITTIES" as it is, "WHOA-ish Magic Trick".

How you interact with the subject matter, we've just proven, depends on how it's presented.

An open candy wrapper on the street is litter. On the wall, with a frame around it, in a national art gallery, it's art.

I think the sifters in the conversation above have clearly indicated that it's more high-brow than low-brow entertainment, at least in the sense that only the most pr0n deprived person would get jolly from this.

I think this one would've been bounced in the VS1.0/2.0 days, but things have become a smidge more 'liberal' around here, in the nudity department.

I recall a sift I posted, more of a "let's find anything at all" scenario, of a girl just rolling around on her bed. It got a summary admin discard. That, of course, was before downvotes - or even gold star user discards, I think - and other measures were put in place to allow users to decide for themselves.

As the Sift evolves, it'll continue to define its amorphous boundaries. Some will be able to point to this as both an example and an exception based on what else they try to post.

It's a moment like this when I realize I should probably create a SiftChronicles playlist or something to that effect to document such examples. But I really don't care enough to click a few buttons tonight - it'll sit in the Controversies list for now.

Upvote because BellGlobemedia actually broadcast this, on their ExpressVu satelite network, at least, and for the amusing conversations it generated.

Sidenote, seeing as how I was able to invoke a Canadian legend in communications/culture theory and the video itself took place in Montreal, *Canada, channel added.

The take no-guff attitude, I'll argue, warrants a *femme channelization too, far more than the sexuality channel - if you're going to argue that the act isn't scintillating, I suppose the "I'm proud of myself and not ashamed of my body" thing is a positive sexuality message without being a sexy come-on in itself. Agh, too much semiotic theory discussion for one night...

This really isn't hot at all. Aside from the fact that she isn't very nice looking, it's all done in such a brash way, I'd say she did it like a guy would (except for the last bit of course). messenger's way would be a lot more enjoyable, although probably unsuitable for the sift. It's all in the presentation!

What concerns me is the last trick. She obviously stuffs it into a fake finger for the others, that's why her right hand is always in the article of clothing. But for the last one, she only uses her right hand. Please tell me she didn't have a second cloth "equipped" the whole time.

Also, her attitude reminds me of a Lupin III anime I saw where the villains abduct Fujiko and strip her naked. She's tied up on a chair, completely naked, and maintains the posture and attitude of a queen on her throne, in complete cocksure confident control of the situation. It's pretty funny, while also being sexy, and more than a little intimidating.
