The Puppini Sisters are a musical trio specializing in 1940's style vocal 'close harmony' music. The group was founded by Marcella after she was inspired by the animated film Belleville Rendez-vous. The Puppini Sisters' debut single, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", is a cover of the iconic hit single by The Andrews Sisters and, although the three are not actually related, they name themselves so in tribute to The Andrews Sisters.

One of the more unusual songs in their repertoire is Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights", sung in the style of the Andrews Sisters. Marcella Puppini first studied Fashion Design at St Martins School of Art, and later joined Stephanie O'Brien and Kate Mullins at Trinity College of Music in London.

Tsar Bomba, nicknamed 'Big Ivan' by its makers, was the largest nuclear bomb ever built. With a yield of 50 megatons, it was 4000 times more powerful then the bomb that devastated Hiroshima.

This video shows various important aspects of the bomb, including its development at Arzamas-16, the secret Soviet nuclear weapons research facility and its transportation to the Tu-95 bomber, which was painted white for the test to reflect the heat of the blast. Several different views of the explosion are also shown, including several filmed from the air and ground alike. The last few shots are of the ground zero several days after the test.

In the summer of 2005, Paramount Pictures optioned film rights to the book and hired Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (both members of the State comedy troupe and co-creators of the Reno 911! television series) to write a script based on the book. On April 26th, 2006 comedian Mike Myers signed with Paramount to star in the 2008 movie adaptation.

1984 computer animation on an Apple //e. As described in Cinemagic Magazine #23 and Computer Animation Primer:

The graphics are way beyond the capability of the computer to render in real time, so he used stop-motion. To film it he actually had the computer control a film camera and a wheel of colored filters. The computer would render a frame, spin the color wheel (made from an old record with holes cut in it) then open the shutter, repeating for each color and frame. It took about 2 minutes per frame but the results are awesome.
