Who could forget this icon of canadiana? Mr. Canoehead is/was truely Canada's greatest hero. He first appeared on the CBC show "Frantic Times" in the early 80s. When The Frantics made their TV show Four on The Floor a few years later, Mr Canoehead was a sure bet.

I find this hilarious even though I've never seen an episode of Lost. I'm sure we can all relate to some show or another just getting dumber, and dumber, and dumber as the creators obviously had no plan. X-files after the movie came out, most seasons of 24, etc.

These data have been used to create a number of interesting experiments, none quite as surprising as this bizarre creation by Tim Knapen.
Note that this video seems to have been processed entirely using a Java app called process! WTF!

For several years now, I've been a huge fan of Ideas In Food, where Chefs Aki Kamozawa & H. Alexander Talbot create some of the most interesting and exciting dishes to be found anywhere on the internet. (not to mention the amazing photography)
Recently, they've started making videos showing off their chops. This one has Alex showing off a procedure for using Methocel to create a false poached egg- Cauliflower for white and Hollandaise for yolk. Very inventive!
