People debate to what degree Shamrock didn't give Dijk a chance to tap, and to what degree Dijk - in only his 2nd fight - failed to see what was coming and roll toward it.

The ankle was torqued about 180 degrees, tearing the muscle and tendons from the base and putting Dijk in rehabilitation for 9 months. But Dijk did come back, and built a successful fighting career, eventually ending a 13-fight win streak by Evan Tanner.
