<item><title>Remeber when people cared for Ron Paul?</title>
<link>http://blog.videosift.com/blankfist/Remeber-when-people-cared-for-Ron-Paul</link>
<description>&lt;img src=&quot;http://static1.videosift.com/avatars/b/blankfist.jpg?1216917377&quot; width=&quot;125&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(3 comments - 75 views)&lt;br /&gt;Not too long ago there was a huge Ron Paul following on the Sift. Now, It's hard to get a single vote for videos like this: &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://www.videosift.com/video/Ron-Paul-on-the-Housing-Bill-72308&quot;&gt;http://www.videosift.com/video/Ron-Paul-on-the-Housing-Bill-72308&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Those videos used to net a large vote percentage back four or five months ago. What happened? It seems like everyone drank the Obama &quot;change&quot; Koolaid and forgot about strong reformative policy. He drops out of the presidential race and now he's nobody? We're not all fence-sitters here, are we? I miss the days of pro-Ron Paul sentiments on the Sift.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt; - blankfist&lt;/b&gt;</description>

Heath Ledger lives up to the hype. He's amazing as the Joker. I saw it last night at 3:30am at the Arclight in Hollywood. What an incredible movie! The score was amazing, too! &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Anyone else see it? Let's hear your thoughts! Possible SPOILERS inside.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt; - blankfist&lt;/b&gt;</description>

</item><item><title>OSX, iTunes, the iDisk and tons of headaches!</title>
<link>http://blog.videosift.com/blankfist/OSX-itunes-the-iDisk-and-tons-of-headaches</link>
<description>&lt;img src=&quot;http://static1.videosift.com/avatars/b/blankfist.jpg?1216917377&quot; width=&quot;125&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(2 comments - 285 views)&lt;br /&gt;I have both PC and Mac. Like most people, I have issues with both - but I refuse to get into that now. Just recently I purchased a Macbook Air because I wanted something to use pretty much exclusively for writing. They're tiny, light, and work great to take wherever you fancy, though to be honest I still do most of my typing on the couch. It's still an improvement from my 17&quot; MB Pro, because it's too big and klunky (and hot!) to comfortably type on the couch let alone in the park or wherever. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; In the process of purchasing the MBA, I also decided to purchase a .mac account which boasts something like 10gbs of ftp space on apple's iDisk technology (snicker). It's essentially a place that is supposed to sync with apple programs like iPhoto and iTunes, supposedly, and it also serves as a mail server (I still use my silly hotmail accounts from the 90s). This iDisk is pretty genius in theory, because it's supposed to be seamlessly integrated into your Finder. This, ladies and gentlemen, is utter bullshit.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; The first thing I tried to do with my iDisk is to use it for file sharing. This proved to be a major mistake, because apple's iDisk tends to hang for a long, long, long time when pushing large files to the iDisk (and by large, I mean over 500MBs... pshaw!). That's bad enough! A regular Godaddy ftp works like a charm, but apple's POS (POS = Piece of Shiznit!) iDisk is a huge miss. What's with the file copying 100% then completely freezing up the Finder for (wait for it) TWELVE HOURS! Annoying. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Next, I tried move my itune library to the idisk. Terrible idea, ladies and gentlemen. First, I was pushing from the PC, and the iDisk doesn't work like a normal FTP, so if you're trying to access the iDisk from a PC, then you have to either download an app to do this (which never worked for me), log in via a web browser (which appears to be the best solution, though it doesn't have a progress bar, so uploads could be hanging and you'd have no way of knowing), or mapping the network to a drive. I mapped the network to a drive. It sucked, but 36 hours later I was able to push around 3.6 gigs of music to the server. That's about 10 hours a gig. What year is this? I'm sorry, is this iNetZeroDisk? &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Next, I tried to &quot;link&quot; the iDisk iTunes library to my local iTunes client by importing the library xml. Piece of cake, right? Sure, it worked, but why did it take 3 hours for it to load and analyze 3.6 gigs of music? Seriously, 3.6 gigs is NOT that ridiculous. Beyond that, it didn't actually have to DOWNLOAD the entire 3.6, because that was the entire point of having it being externalized to the iDisk! The xml was supposed to &quot;reference&quot; the links to each mp3, right? Shit, why can't you have an app that can index an entire mp3 library in seconds whether it is local or otherwise? Oh wait! There is one called sk jukebox and you can download it for pc here &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://kilroysdesign.com/sk/?&quot;&gt;http://kilroysdesign.com/sk/?&lt;/a&gt; It's amazing, but I digress!&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Importing a CD to iDisk. I put in the latest release from Mudhoney (yes I'm old, and yes I'm just as shocked as you that they're still releasing albums! They're like the Perry Como of Grunge! And you can quote me on that!), and each track seems to import at a crawl. In fact, the import just completed, and I started the import about an hour ago or so. People, I'm on a broadband connection! I get there will be buffer times between mp3s, but so far the lag time has been laughable. Also, I get the difference between bottle necked upload speeds versus generous download speeds.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; In apple's defense, they're apparently rolling something out this July called MobileMe that is supposed to be a major upgrade to the crappy iDisk garbage people have been struggling with for years. Let's hope it works better than the iSuck, I mean, iDisk. I'll be back to tell you my experience with it in July! If they don't iron out the kinks, I think I'll be canceling my .mac account very, very soon! &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; As an aside, Mudhoney's earlier stuff still rocks! If you have Superfuzz Big Muff or Here Comes Sickness in your collection, dust those bitches off and give them a listen. You'll love it... again.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt; - blankfist&lt;/b&gt;</description>

<link>http://blog.videosift.com/blankfist/The-Foot-Fist-Way-Premiere</link>
<description>&lt;img src=&quot;http://static1.videosift.com/avatars/b/blankfist.jpg?1216917377&quot; width=&quot;125&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(4 comments - 386 views)&lt;br /&gt;This weekend I hooked up with some good friends and checked out a private screening of THE FOOT FIST WAY at the Archlight. It was just as funny this past Sunday as it was when I saw it in 2006! This is a must see that's coming out on the 31st of May! &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Anyhow, it was great times. I got trashed and laughed my ass off. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay opened the screening with my friends Jody Hill, Danny McBride and Ben Best. We tried to get a picture of Ferrel and McKay, but missed the opportunity. Anyhow, we have tons of other great pictures...&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; And here are some pictures from that night that I took (click for larger versions):&lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0243.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0243.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; The one sheet at the Archlight. The tag line is genius: &quot;A story of a man who teaches people how to kick other people in the face.&quot;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;script&gt;document.write('&lt;br /&gt;&lt;small&gt;[&lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;#&quot; id=&quot;collapselink-95543-0&quot;&gt;expand&lt;/a&gt;]&lt;/small&gt;');&lt;/script&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;div id=&quot;collapsediv-95543-0&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0244.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0244.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; The one sheet beside THE DARK KNIGHT! How freakin' cool?!&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0245.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0245.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; I laughed really hard when I realized they effed up the movie title on the ticket. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0246.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0246.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Some promotional picture. The party was thrown by the Onion. We received some sweet swag that night.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0247.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0247.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; My good friend and DP of the movie, Brian Mandle [left]. [right: me] I'm pretending he's the biggest douchebag in the world! He's not. He's an awesome guy.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0250.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0250.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; The editor of The Foot Fist Way, Zene Baker. He's also editing my film, which I'm super happy about. Here, he's looking at me as if I'm the biggest douche in the world. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0251.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0251.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; This is David Cook. An old buddy of mine and the producer of The Foot Fist Way. In no way is that kiss gay! It was meant to make him uncomfortable! &lt;img src=&quot;http://static1.videosift.com/videosift/i/emoticon/wink.gif&quot; /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0257.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0257.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; My gf and me! Blurry and drunk.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0260.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0260.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; I don't know Jonah Hill personally, but he obviously knows my friends who made The Foot Fist Way. Though, I'll tell you this much: he was super cool. I asked for him to look at me as if I was the biggest douche in the universe, yet he refused. Sure, it's largely due to his public image (how would it be if that picture ended up on the cover of People magazine!). Anyhow, like I said, I don't know him, and I took the picture with him because I thought he was super awesome in Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0261.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0261.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; I asked my friend Ben Best to pretend I was the largest douche in the world. His expression is priceless! But what's really hilarious is the guy in the back. We don't know who that is, but we think it's Will Ferrel's brother, Pat Ferrel. He decided to sneak into the photo. Awesome. Ben Best was in the 'Period Blood' Superbad scene with Jody: &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://www.videosift.com/video/Someone-perdioded-on-my-fucking-leg&quot;&gt;http://www.videosift.com/video/Someone-perdioded-on-my-fucking-leg&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; That video is dead now, unfortunately. &lt;img src=&quot;http://static1.videosift.com/videosift/i/emoticon/frown.gif&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0262.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0262.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Here again I asked my bud Danny McBride to pretend I'm the biggest douche in the world. This is his reaction. Hilarious. I'm hamming it up. He's currently shooting the Land of the Lost movie. He's been doing well for himself appearing in Hotrod, the Heartbreak Kid, All the Real Girls (that was for you Sarzy), Tropic Thunder, Drillbit Taylor, etc. Wow, he's doing well for himself! &lt;img src=&quot;http://static1.videosift.com/videosift/i/emoticon/wink.gif&quot; /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/IMG_0265.jpg&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src=&quot;http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh316/blankfist/TFFW/th_IMG_0265.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; And here's me passed out after the drunken madness with Del Taco wrappers covering my body... okay, okay, this picture is obviously fake, but I was well hammered after that night. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; I tried to catch up with Jody, but he was gone after the film. Anyhow, you can see other pictures from that night at IMDB: &lt;a rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; href=&quot;http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492619/mediaindex&quot;&gt;http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492619/mediaindex&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;script&gt;gebi('collapsediv-95543-0').style.display='none';gebi('collapselink-95543-0').onclick=function(){var d=gebi('collapsediv-95543-0');d.style.display=d.style.display=='none'?'block':'none';this.innerHTML=d.style.display=='none'?'expand':'collapse';return false;}&lt;/script&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/img&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt; - blankfist&lt;/b&gt;</description>

They never get old (to me). Anyhow, this is a pretty funny lolzcat video, though the only part you really need to watch is up until the 3rd image. That took me by surprise. Hilarious. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;object width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;355&quot;&gt;&lt;param name=&quot;movie&quot; value=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/N_mZOyPwMI0&amp;hl=en&quot;&gt;&lt;/param&gt;&lt;param name=&quot;wmode&quot; value=&quot;transparent&quot;&gt;&lt;/param&gt;&lt;embed src=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/N_mZOyPwMI0&amp;hl=en&quot; type=&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash&quot; wmode=&quot;transparent&quot; width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;355&quot;&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt; - blankfist&lt;/b&gt;</description>
