Amusing regional BBQ bickering ensues. Admittedly for the other hard core Alton fans, this probably won't make it out of the queue.

(17 votes - 5 comments - 2317 views)
It appears that this site is real, which just confirms my disdain for humanity. But hey, people do what they've got to do, I won't judge (except for the tags). It can be tough to be single.
Making fresh pasta

(19 votes - 0 comments - 505 views)
I've mentioned www.foodwishes.com in previous posts, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Chef John is a fantastic instructor in quick and manageable video clips. In this, he makes fresh pasta with his uncle Bill, and it looks so easy, I can't believe I've never tried it before. Now if only I had a decent kitchen in my apartment.

Not to sound like an ad for his site (www.foodwishes.com), but you can find all of the ingredients listed on the site (www.foodwishes.com). ;) Seriously, I'd post all of his videos, but it would get pretty redundant very quickly.
Pat Condell - Why Does Faith Deserve Respect

(61 votes - 60 comments - 1486 views)
I know, another Pat Condell clip. But this is one of my favorite to date, because it brings up an issue that's rarely discussed in the religious threads on the Sift. I've only ever heard Dawkins talk about this concept of respect before, and I think Pat does his usual bang-up job explaining how religion demands respect that it isn't due. The result of which is that, in the past, it has been considered good and proper manners to never question anyone's religion, which was very convenient for the clergy so they never had to fight back, since their arguments can't hold up with proper scrutiny.
