It was only a matter of time before someone did a live action take on Duck Hunt. This video is from Anime Boston 2008 (3/22/2008), which is why the experience has been peppered with anime characters. Hey, if you're either not a big fan of anime (like me) or see the humor in using Duck Hunt as a vessel to shoot annoying characters, at least they get tossed in with the ducks!

After only finding two Emergency Broadcast Network videos on the Sift, I thought it proper to introduce a favorite piece from one of the earlier video mashup pioneers (consider that they did these mashups with little digital editing, if any!). EBN was a performance group originating in the Providence, RI area in the early 1990s. I'm told from fans that they used to drive a Ghostbusters-like station wagon around the city and play their music (reinforced by the Wikipedia entry) until they were eventually asked to stop and/or moved on to bigger projects.

Much of EBN's work is of course a commentary, be it TV, politics or anything in-between. "Get Down ver 2.2" is about as wild a remix of the Kool song as you can get, and is from their 1995 album.

And who ever would think to turn Mariah Carey into a perpetually boiling and screeching kettle? Seriously.

Something I found interesting while browsing CNN today is the story of Edison Chen, a Chinese actor whose photos of racy encounters with starlets were leaked to the Internet after an apparent theft during a PC repair.

The clip you are about to watch is a week old showing the emergent details of the scandal. Edison Chen has since resigned from the Chinese entertainment industry for an indefinite period (source: CNN).

I thought this would provide for an interesting debate. Is it good or bad that, for once, a sex scandal doesn't actually improve someone's entertainment career? And how about the level of governmental involvement?

For those of you missing the Bioshock love on the Sift, here's a video I found particularly interesting. Melissa Miller, content producer of Bioshock for 2K Games describes an in-game sequence of hunting a "Big Daddy". What follows is a 6-minute romp through the game's environments with no further interruptions to distract from the gameplay on hand. Enjoy.
