Whoa! Twice in a row I've agree with and upvoted your comments - let's not make this a habit! People are going to start thinking you're my sockpuppet. Videosift may once again ban you.

Yep. Same Ant. Man, I am two days behind in Blue's News. So busy with work and life!

I always loved the first level music!

Same here! I especially liked the dropship sequence music. Actually, all the music was pretty good (at least for what it was at the time). You an old C64 head too? Always dug the soundtrack to Ballblazer too.

Want to hear it again? http://www.hvsc.c64.org/ (I have a feeling that you already know about this site, as aren't you the same Ant from Blues? I've been reading his site for years now and remember you from the 'Thanks'!)

Regardless, thanks for the promote!

S.t.a.l.k.e.r. is actually very tough on CPU/Graphics requirements, and it's actually a very difficult game to complete. It even has a "false" ending in it. Can you believe it? It's like they don't want you even to complete the game!

I got the "King Midas" false ending... heeh

Believe it or not, I actually started to. But my system is so behind the times, it's not even funny. (Last time I upgraded was in 2004.) I'm actually playing through Tron 2.0 again, but I do love those FPS/"RPG" type games such as System Shock 2, Deux Ex, Tron 2.0, NOLF 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., etc. My machine was just so sluggish running it; I figure I'm saving it for a rainy day (and/or when I get my box upgraded).

Thanks for the advice. We didn't have quite enough time to make it to Devil's Tower, which is too bad since Close Encounters is one of my favorite films.

In reply to this comment by videosiftbannedme:
^Hey, you'll be in my town tonight. Watch out for the crazy drivers; Vegas is no fun on the highway. Good luck on your trip; if you're going through Wyoming try to stop and see Devil's Tower. It's worth the extra few hours. NE corner of Wyoming.

You should visit this site:

http://arcade.hofle.com/

The torrents don't work so great, try mirrors 2 or 3 for any of the downloads. I sometimes play this through my HT receiver in Dolby Pro Logic mode, which does a nice job of surrounding me in arcade ambiance.

In reply to this comment by videosiftbannedme:
Ah, that noise....you know, all the attract modes playing at once. I miss that ambient noise.

I know what you mean. Multiple generations of my family-members before me have lived in PB at one time or another and they often regale me with how it was the best place to live. I often stroll through the residential areas and think of how it must've been. A lot of the original architecture has been maintained in the quaint cottage-style homes. I can only imagine what Garnet used to look like. It is still a great town to live in and even with the frat-fucks and outsiders meandering in to exploit our flourishing bar scene, there are still places for us locals to hide-away. And let's face it, being able to walk through the town with your shirt off with your bikini-clad girlfriend at your side as if it's a normal thing to do is pretty unique.

no way! I'm right off of Thomas and Lamont. I turn on Olney on my way home every day! Small world. I hope you're keeping away from hookers and gambling there in vegas

Oh, and I don't know how in touch you still are with PB, but in case you haven't heard, they've banned alcohol from the beach altogether now.

Get the hell out of here! I used to live off Olney, on PB Drive. Too funny. I'm in Vegas now, but nice to see another PB'er.

Yeah, no worries there. Not interested in VD. I tell you though, I grew up there from '84 to '94 and it used to be a nice little beach community. I went to Mission Bay High, etc. Went down to visit in 2005 and wow...talk about a change. You go down Garnet now and it's bar, tattoo parlor, head shop, store, bar tattoo parlor, store, head shop, store, bar...etc. Where the hell was all that when I was growing up there?? If you wanted accessories, you had to drive all the way over to OB and go to The Black (which thankfully is still there...) Well, cool man. Take a ride up to Mt. Soledad or down to Crown Point for me! Man, I haven't said either of those in years; I'm jealous.
