I appreciate the intellectual excersize that travel to a continent sized asylum can provide. However I have found that with most institutions that are run by the inmates once you get in it's really hard to convince anyone to let you back out again.

Oh come visit anyway, it is healthy to get to know Dad better if possible. You are right that people here are crazy but you will probably be surprised at exactly how and where the pathology shows up. It can be very interesting from an anthropological perspective.
