That's where this stands for me now.
I too liked the old choggie. I think he needs some injectible vitamin b12 to repair the nerve damage from all the N2O, but that's beside the point.
I had been talking with him outside of videosift since summertime and we had some good chats.
He asked me to help him get his account back and I told him I would try.
As I was trying, he basically yelled at me for having some kind of "good guy" campaign (which it never even approached) and I decided it was too much of a negative to interact with the guy any more.

had I not had the support and understanding of the admins here on VideoSift, I would have left VideoSift because of Choggie.
I avoid him here, and have always chosen not to partake in discussions.
Those who know me here would know it's not something I like to do. And I don't like it. And the sentiment is common with others as well.
Choggie may be the village idiot beloved by experienced site-goers (those posting here and all those reading this), but as you guys don't know how he harassed me (with private profile messages, downvoted all my videos, got someone else to as well, and threatened further repurcussions), I worry we can't know the extent of his damage to others, and possibility of continued damage.
He damages the Sift.
It's intolerable and inexcusable.
He knew it before, and he knew it then, yet he continued and even after permanent banning continued to continue.
He had his chances. And then some.
I upvoted Laura's comment, and thus for a referendum on reinstatement (as if), because I fundamentally like Choggie and interact with him frequently outside of Siftopia. I think he has a beautiful mind, be it full of razor wire and pitfalls. I think he's reckless with people's feelings. I recognize that he feels that it's for their own good and agree with his challenges for the most part, even if his style wouldn't suit me at all. Many of those he's challenged feel clearly abused and I don't think he's justified in his approach in some cases, but I can't say for sure because a lot of is with private messaging. Some might have needed a good shot of Choggie.
Dag said it himself, He adds a lot of excitement and interest to the community, but also headache and heartache. But that's the Choggie trip, right? And I agree with Swampy. Hat in hand. And forget about a fourth channel.
Bring him back as a bronze. That way he has to show us more of his excellent videos. Because they are awesome.
There probably a snow ball's chance here, so he ought to have his hat in hand if he's serious.
It's a bit of a blight for him to have committed sift-a-cide in the first place.. It would be great if he reconciled w/ the site even if just to say a nice farewell.
I don't have time to put into making this statement as well writen as it deserves to be.
I say we take a siftvote on reinstating his account. Sure, he's gonna do it again. But let's let him, 'cause that was fun to watch!
1) We've banned for two weeks for the things he did.
2) He has expressed to admins and to me and now to you...that he wants his account back.
We could say we're teaching him a lesson (not our place) on consequences, or we could give him back his priviledges. There's no rule to follow for this, but hell we're a community.
What say ye? Tell 'ya what, should this comment receive ten or more upvotes I will pursue it on Sift Talk until there is a genuine vote.
*edit: I just thought of this. We have comment voting, we have video voting...why don't we have a system for voting on "issues" like these...including whether there should be a *videodrome channel or not. Such voting would work just like the rest of them, ongoing and changeable so as to be a true democracy around here...archived list of such to avoid *dupes. Just sayin'.

It's a work of art, dude, a piece of choggie......you and djsunkid, will be the only ones with a piece of me before each piece becomes sought after......thought you'd dig a simple grab bag of love-i sent the sunkid, some classic photos, a wax-sealed hand-written letter, well-wishes for his nuptuals, you are an icon here, one of the first, and I wish to pay tribute....promise I won;t clutter yer pad-what the hell is a temp. eviction....? In a U.S. City???...forgive me, I do not remember where you are on the globe-guess I could check the siftermap, eh?
