Hey everyone, just wanted to say Hello! My how VS has changed! I remember when it was a handful of us racing each other to 100, 200, 250... (Now it's 500) The site has changed for the better and through the constant growing pains, it has paid off. Kudos to those who are keeping it going! :-)

I noticed my ranking went down which means I lost votes. Well I had to dig through 100+ videos just to find the discard log ones and then see if it was the one recently discarded.

Here's my idea/suggestion:

Can you make a link/icon that will line up all the logs in a row (or just show all the discarded logs without the regular videos?) This will help save time when trying to figure out what was deleted.

Another idea: Have a section called "Discarded Videos" within last 7 days (or 1 month) under the profile section that way if we are on vacation, we can quickly browse and see if we lost something.

Just some ideas.

VIACOM is also asking (As well as Comedy Central as previously posted) to pull The Daily Show/Steve Colbert and all VIACOM content on YOUTUBE...

Of course this means that what made Videosift and Youtube so nice and funny is going to be missing a good chunk of votes/content. *Sigh*

Today when I uploaded one of my videos, it reminded me of a similiar video I uploaded 180 days ago. I went to go find it and it was gone. Youtube had deleted it. Is it possible I can "raise the dead" to edit the link to show a working one? As of right now I can't, and I would hate to lose those votes. Of course, this was deleted long before the courtesy reminders were created too. Thanks

Folks, I can't deny it and neither can JoeDirt. We are in a fierce race and have been since I blew by him last month. He is fast approaching on my tail and I'm trying my best to keep ahead. Last I checked, I was in 12 place and him in 13 but he's doing great! This is one worthy opponent. I've noticed he stopped voting for my submissions and it's a safe bet, I've stopped promoting his.

It's a playful & respectful race that I just wanted to call attention too. :-)

Hey, new idea... prolific posters of published videos get rewarded with stars of various levels/ratings. Can we get some sort of "Troll" icon for members who make no attempt to publish videos, yet enjoy the benefits of membership that others must now earn? Yeah, I ain't been here a long time either, but it just seems a little unfair to me. Or howz about some sort of "ignore" feature so that we can make these peeps invisible (or anyone invisible, for that matter)?

When I posted a comment to another member, it posted fine. When I went to edit what I posted, the screen went white and blank... Anyone else see this?

I love the "over the limit" pop up that comes when you click submit a video. It sure beats the old way of submitting and get to the end only to find out you have too many in queue. I have another suggestion to make it even better!...

Please add a Queue link on that same popup so we can go straight to the source to see what is still lingering. That would be awesome!

From what I read yesterday, You Tube has been sued and part of cleaning up their act, they are going to install software that "detects copyrighted material" and pull the video down.

I'm thinking: Imagine how many videos (and votes!) we have that are going to be removed because they have TV shows, openings, clips (i.e. Mythbusters), and music videos!

The voting ranking will be thrown out of whack! The end is near?!? (Queue - Dramatic Music!) (Actually it's going to be towards the end of the year before we see anything.)

What do you think?

In the Queue catagory/Link, can you add a "personal" queue to see the four videos we have waiting to clear the queue? This would be most helpful :-)

Just wanted to take a moment and thank my parents, all my friends and VS posters here, the creator of VS, and everyone who helped me get to this spot. It's been a long journey but I'm here and soon to be 100 too!

The other day I uploaded a video that got equal praise and equal hatred for the video. When I did a search for the name of the video, who was in it, or anything close to it, I didn't find it... so I uploaded it.

Another VS member pointed out that they already uploaded it a few hours ahead of me but no where in the Tags did it say or make reference to the video. This frustrated me a little because I made the effort to search for this video but none of the tags made reference to the video.

Is there a way we can make some guidelines to help new & seasoned VS members more efficient in reducing cross posting the same videos? Like if the video is say... Star Wars or has something Star Wars in it, to use "Star Wars" in the title, or Yoda, or Light Saber or something that can be linked to Star Wars? Tags like "Trippy" or "Sci-fi" are ok if somewhere in the line is something with the above mention. Perhaps extend the charactors from 60 to 80 or something. The more key words, the easier the search.

One of the things I like about YouTube is the ability to save video clips I like. Is there a way to save vids (0r links to the vids) in a My Favorites section so we can go back and enjoy them without having to remember the name of the link? This is a suggestion that I would like some feedback on please.
